Intensive Care RN | Orleans, Vermont in Barton, VT

An exciting opportunity exists for a Registered Nurse with critical care experience to provide top-quality patient care in an intensive care unit setting. Based in Orleans, Vermont, the position is set within a well-respected 25-bed critical access hospital nestled in Vermont’s historic Northeast Kingdom. Responsibilities:
• Deliver exceptional nursing care to critically ill patients in a four-bed open ICU.
• Provide treatment and adapt care plans for pediatric, adult, and geriatric populations in accordance with AACN Standards.
• Monitor patient telemetry and respond to changes in condition promptly.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless patient care coordination.
• Participate in a streamlined onboarding process by submitting all credentials at least three business days prior to start to facilitate a smooth transition.

Qualifications / Desired Experience:
• Current RN licensure with a minimum of two years nursing experience, including critical care.
• Proficient in reading and interpreting telemetry.
• Ability to deliver compassionate, age-appropriate care across diverse patient populations.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Contract Details:
• Contract position beginning mid-January, with a starting date of 1/14/26.
• Orientation week involves adjusted hours due to a midweek start, with guaranteed minimum hours during that period.
• Travelers begin assignments on Wednesdays.
