An opportunity is available for an experienced Registered Nurse with ICU expertise to provide high-quality care in a dynamic hospital environment. This contract position is based in Waukesha, WI, and offers a chance to work in diverse critical care settings, including Cardiovascular ICU (CVICU), Neurology ICU, and Burn ICU, with patient assignments tailored to your skill set. Flexibility to float within the hospital or to nearby sites (within approximately 40 miles) will be required, with occasional assignments in Medical/Surgical or Intermediate Care Unit (IMC) settings. Responsibilities: • Provide expert nursing care to critically ill patients in ICU and specialized units • Monitor patient conditions and respond promptly to changes in status • Collaborate closely with interdisciplinary care teams to develop and implement individualized care plans • Float between CVICU, Neuro ICU, Burn ICU, and occasionally Med/Surg or IMC units as patient needs dictate • Ensure all documentation and compliance with hospital protocols and standards Desired Qualifications: • Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license with ICU experience strongly preferred • Cardiovascular and Neurology ICU experience is a plus but not required • Ability and willingness to float among various ICU and related units • Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities This is a contract role ideal for adaptable and knowledgeable ICU nurses seeking to expand their skills in a supportive environment.
