Schedule / Hours : • 7 : 00 PM to 7 : 30 AM • Minimum of 34.5 hours guaranteed Qualifications / Desired Experience : • BSN or higher degree from an accredited nursing school • Registered Nurse license valid in New York State or by reciprocity • Minimum of 3 years ICU experience preferred • Required certifications : ACLS, BLS, and PALS • Preferred but not required : CCRN and TNCC certifications Responsibilities : • Provide expert care for patients in a fast-paced ICU environment • Manage patients on multiple medication drips, including advanced equipment such as Hemosphere and Flotrac • Care for trauma patients with varying severities, including hypothermia treatment • Utilize assessment tools like CAM, CPOT, and RASS • Manage pleurevac chest tube drainage and PCA pumps effectively • Follow strict isolation precautions and hospital protocols • Document patient care accurately using Allscripts EMR • Adhere to established critical care practices and standard operating procedures This contract role is a prime opportunity to apply critical care skills in a reputable hospital setting, with guaranteed hours and a challenging night shift schedule.
