Job Description
Provide critical care in an intensive care setting while also supporting other hospital units as needed. This contract nursing role requires a licensed Registered Nurse with ICU experience who can adapt to a dynamic healthcare environment. The position is based in Kaneohe, HI, offering an opportunity to work in a beautiful community with access to island life.
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
• Active Hawaii Registered Nurse (RN) license prior to contract start
• Proven experience in ICU nursing
• Flexibility to float to Progressive Care Unit (PCU) or Medical-Surgical units during census fluctuations
• Ability to work consecutive weekends when necessary
Responsibilities:
• Deliver direct patient care in the ICU, monitoring and responding to critical conditions
• Collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams to ensure quality patient outcomes
• Support PCU or Med Surg units as patient census demands
• Adhere to facility protocols and safety standards
• Maintain clear and accurate documentation of patient care activities

Additional Details:
• Holiday pay is provided only if the shift begins on the holiday itself; shifts starting before the holiday and continuing into it do not qualify for holiday pay
• This position is an independent contract role, not requiring prior contracting with statewide health systems
• Scheduling flexibility includes potential weekend work based on facility needs
