Intensive Care Unit (ICU) Nurse - West Valley City, UT in Kearns, UT

An opportunity is available for a Registered Nurse with ICU expertise to provide critical care services in a fast-paced intensive care unit. Qualifications and Desired Experience:
• Minimum of 1-2 years ICU nursing experience; strong candidates with 1 year of intensive, relevant experience considered
• Proficiency in critical care procedures including rapid sequence intubations, central line and arterial line placements, bronchoscopy, chest tube insertions, and ventilator management
• Skilled in administering vasopressors, managing restraints, and monitoring patients closely
• Current ACLS certification is required
• Ability to function effectively in a team-oriented setting with an outgoing, collaborative personality

Responsibilities:
• Deliver direct patient care in a 24-bed ICU unit with patient ratios typically 1:2, adjusting for acuity levels as needed
• Work alongside a multidisciplinary team including unit secretaries, techs, and Critical Care Transport staff
• Utilize the EPIC electronic documentation system for charting and communication
• Participate in scheduled shifts primarily during nights, with floating assignments to the Progressive Care Unit or other hospital areas as required
• Adhere to hospital policies on attire and conduct, wearing designated scrub colors

Schedule/Hours:
• Straight night shifts or a 50/50 night/day rotation
• Approximately three weekend shifts per four-week period
