Charlotte Hungerford Hospital, located at 540 Litchfield St, Torrington, Connecticut, is a 122-bed general acute care community hospital serving the healthcare needs of 100,000 residents in Litchfield County and Northwest Connecticut. As a Registered Nurse in the ICU, you will actively engage in the nursing process, including assessment, planning, intervention, documentation, and evaluation, to deliver exceptional care tailored to the unique needs of each patient. You will develop individualized education and care plans while ensuring adequate support for family members.
Your role will involve utilizing your judgment and comprehensive understanding of patient and family dynamics to effectively guide ancillary staff. You will be responsible for maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction, protecting patient confidentiality, and being sensitive to the diverse age-related needs for comfort and privacy in patient care.
To succeed in this position, you will complete annual competency requirements specific to the ICU, providing you with the necessary skills to excel in your role.
Qualifications
• Current Registered Nurse license in the State of Connecticut.
• Bachelor's degree in Nursing preferred.
