Job Overview:
RWJBarnabas Health invites passionate Registered Nurses to join our dynamic team in the MICU at Community Medical Center. With a 592-bed capacity and a commitment to exceptional patient care, CMC has become the state's newest teaching hospital, engaging in rigorous medical training and caring for over 21,500 inpatients annually.
Qualifications:
• Required:
• ASN or Nursing Diploma
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Proficient computer skills
• Certifications and Licenses Required:
• BLS certification
• Active New Jersey Registered Nurse License
• Preferred:
• BSN or must be completed within 5 years upon hire
Scheduling Requirements:
• Night shift, 24 hours
Essential Functions:
• Provide critical patient care under physician supervision.
• Conduct comprehensive head-to-toe assessments and administer medications.
• Communicate effectively with patient families about conditions and treatment decisions.
• Respond swiftly to emergencies in a high-stakes environment.
• Be available for overtime and irregular shifts as needed.
• Ensure nursing care aligns with ethical standards and best practices.
• Maintain a focus on safety and report any hazardous situations.
• Supervise and delegate responsibilities to team members efficiently.
• Utilize the nursing process to create individualized care plans.
