Job Title: ICU Registered Nurse (RN) – Intensive Care Unit
Location: Ocala, FL
Employment Type: Full-Time | Permanent
Shifts: Days or Nights (Rotating Weekends Required)
Compensation & Incentives
• Hourly Pay Range:
• $30.60/hr (minimum)
• $38.25/hr (midpoint – approx. 8 years of experience)
• $45.90/hr (17+ years of experience)
• Night Differential: $4.25/hr
• Weekend Differential: $3.00/hr
• Sign-On Bonus:
• $10,000 (Day Shift)
• $15,000 (Night Shift)
Facility Overview
A well-established acute care hospital in Ocala, Florida is seeking experienced ICU Registered Nurses to join its critical care team. The facility is a Level I Trauma Center and the region’s only Comprehensive Stroke Center, offering a wide range of advanced clinical services including cardiovascular, neurological, orthopedic, robotic, bariatric, emergency, and rehabilitation care. The organization is committed to delivering high-quality, patient-centered care.
Position Summary
The ICU Registered Nurse (RN) provides and coordinates high-quality, patient-centered care in a 48-bed Intensive Care Unit. The RN practices within the professional standards of critical care nursing and collaborates closely with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to support optimal patient outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
• Perform critical care procedures and advanced hemodynamic monitoring as ordered
• Provide timely and accurate documentation in the electronic medical record
• Educate patients and families on diagnoses, medications, treatment plans, and follow-up care
• Translate complex medical information into understandable terms
• Promote evidence-based practice and participate in quality improvement initiatives
• Coordinate multidisciplinary care plans to support patient recovery
• Advocate for patients and families to ensure a positive care experience
Qualifications
Required:
• Minimum 1 year of Acute Care RN experience within the last 3 years
(Higher-acuity experience preferred; strong Med/Surg candidates considered)
• Active Florida RN license or approved multistate compact license
(Compact license holders must obtain a Florida license within 60 days of relocation)
• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required
• BLS (AHA) certification within 30 days of hire
• ACLS certification within 30 days of hire
• TNCC or CCRN certification within 1 year of hire
• Strong desire to learn and commitment to high-quality patient outcomes
