Shift Details: 12-hour shifts from 7 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. with 12-24 hours of on-call duty per 6-week schedule. Every other holiday and weekend as needed by the unit.

Your Role: As a Labor and Delivery RN, you will:
• Provide direct nursing care in alignment with established policies, protocols, and procedures.
• Implement and monitor patient care plans while effectively communicating patient conditions.
• Coordinate care among the healthcare team for optimal patient outcomes.
• Assess and manage the discharge planning process in collaboration with the team.
• Deliver individualized care by assessing physical, psychosocial, cultural, spiritual, and age-related needs.
• Delegate patient care tasks to nursing personnel based on their education and expertise.
• Participate in daily interdisciplinary rounds with input on patient conditions.
• Adhere to ANA Scope and Standards of Nursing Practice, Code of Ethics, and Social Policy Statement.
• Develop and update individualized care plans.
• Engage in professional development activities beyond direct patient care.

Qualifications:
• Labor and delivery experience required.
• Graduate of an accredited nursing school.
• Associate's degree required; BSN preferred.
• Current RN license in Connecticut.
• BLS certification from the American Heart Association.
• Two years of Medical-Surgical or Critical Care experience preferred.
