The Lead Clinical Nurse, in collaboration with the Assistant Director, Patient Services (GFMG) actively participates in the nursing care of patients, works with the multi-disciplinary team to assist in the day-to-day clinical operations of the office. This includes problem solving, coordination of assignments and schedules, validation of clinical staff competency and monitoring of clinical staff performance. The Lead Clinical Nurse serves as the primary resource for the nursing team in the absence of Assistant Director, Patient Services (GFMG).

Responsibilities
- Provides direct care to patients, fulfilling all duties and responsibilities of the Registered Nurse job description
- Supports the office clinical staff in coordination of the interdisciplinary team and patient education
- Maintains high visibility to patients, families and staff in the clinical area
- Maintains current knowledge of all policies and procedures related to nursing care
- Triages and prioritizes patient care in accordance with current policies and standards
- Utilizes computer system according to established standards
- Evaluates individual patient outcomes and initiates measures to support patient progress towards goals
Education/Accredited Programs
Graduation from a Registered Professional Nursing program
Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing preferred
3 years of clinical experience required, preferably in a physician practice setting
Completion of Charge Nurse course preferred
Licenses/Certifications/Registrations
Licensed Registered Professional Nurse in New York
BLS Certification for all practices
ALCS and PALS required for Urgent Care
Skills/Abilities
Expert clinician in area assigned
Demonstrated ability to assume a leadership role in nursing practice
Computer literate
Knowledge of adult learning principles
Demonstrated ability to teach individuals and groups of patients/families and staff
Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing
Ability to establish and maintain positive interpersonal relationships with patients and professionals of all disciplines
Ability to develop broad concepts into practical applications

Salary Range
The expected base rate for this Glens Falls, New York, United States-based position is $36.80 to $54.45 per hour. Exact rate is determined on a case-by-case basis commensurate with experience level, as well as education and certifications pertaining to each position which may be above the listed job requirements.
