Job Summary

The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) plays a crucial role in providing exceptional nursing care for residents of all ages in a long-term care setting. Working under the guidance of a registered nurse or physician, you will:
• Demonstrate knowledge and skills in nursing principles tailored to meet the unique physical and psychosocial needs of each resident.
• Conduct assessments, administer medications, and deliver treatments as prescribed.
• Document resident interactions and outcomes related to care accurately.
• Establish and maintain effective working relationships with residents, families, and interdisciplinary care teams.
• Provide counseling to residents and families on treatment plans and preventive measures.
• Participate in developing self-care programs using resident education principles.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will meet the following criteria:
• Graduation from an accredited practical nursing program.
• Possession of a current, unencumbered LPN license in the State of North Dakota or multi-state licensure privileges.
• Experience in IV therapy and management if applicable.
• Completion of a minimum of 400 hours in a clinical environment as part of a pre-licensure program, or equivalent experience.
• Commitment to completing annual continuing education units and departmental competency training.
