Job Summary The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) delivers professional nursing care to residents of varying ages in a long-term care setting under the supervision of a registered nurse or physician. You will: • Utilize nursing principles to address the physical and psychosocial needs of residents as per care plans. • Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, and contribute to resident assessments. • Document resident interactions, care outcomes, and maintain confidentiality regarding sensitive information. • Demonstrate effective communication and collaboration within an interdisciplinary care team. • Provide guidance to residents and their families regarding prevention and treatment plans. Qualifications • Graduate from an accredited practical nursing program as a Licensed Practical Nurse; an Associate degree is preferred. • Hold an unencumbered Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license recognized by the state nursing board. • Complete nursing programs with supervised clinical experience or have a minimum of 400 hours of comparable LPN experience. • Meet department-specific competencies and maintain required continuing education.
