
Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) - 3rd shift (11:45 PM to 8:15 AM) - Evaluation Center in Edmund, SC
Job Description
Job Responsibilities
• You will, under general supervision, assist the medical monitoring and treatment of all consumers during their stay at the Center, and provide a variety of complex paraprofessional nursing tasks and related work as required.
• You will supervise the work of part- time LPN 's, and other subordinate personnel in the performance of nursing duties, carrying out established policies and procedures and assuring OSHA standards are met.
• You will participate in nursing reports at beginning and ending of each shrift regarding status of consumers.
• You will follow DHEC regulations and SCVRD policies regarding medication handling and administration, recording significant responses to administered medications.
• You will take vital signs and document in chart.
• You will draw blood work and preform urinalysis as warranted.
• You will be required to document all pertinent information in medical records.
• You will be in charge of the documentation of weekly summaries and preparing of discharge summaries as warranted.
• You will perform a wide variety of administrative duties including setting up, organizing charts, as warranted.
• You will Inventory nursing supplies and inform appropriate start of reorder needs.
• You will accompany consumers on/off campus activities as warranted.
• You will pick up medications as needed for the pharmacy and perform other related duties as required or assigned.
Minimum And Additional Requirements
• Graduate of an accredited school of practical nursing and licensed to practice in state of SC.
• Occasional need for coverage of other shifts.
• Current CPR certification required.
• Extensive knowledge of practical nursing procedures, sanitation, personal hygiene, basic health and safety practices.
• Ability to accurately record observation
Shift Differentials: $0.75 an hour on nights
$3.75 an hour on weekends
