Job Description
The University of Iowa Health Care is seeking a patient-centered 70% Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to work in our Occupational Health Clinics. Our Occupational Health team plays a vital role in supporting the wellbeing of University of Iowa Health Care employees and campus partners. In this position, you will work with a population of faculty, staff, and students, ensuring that workplace health standards are met, preventive care is delivered, and individuals have access to appropriate followup services. This role is part of a dynamic and collaborative environment that offers continuous opportunities for professional development and growth. Duties to include:
• Provides nursing care under the supervision of a registered professional nurse.
• Participates in the development of nursing care plans and in the implementation of therapeutic program for patients.
• In less complex situations, may assume responsibility for directing and supervising assigned nursing personnel. In more complex situations, performs as an assistant to the registered professional nurse.

Percent of Time: 70% (28 hours per week)
Schedule: Variable hours 7am - 5:00pm Monday through Friday; no weekends, no on call, no holidays
Location: Coralville, IA *(and surrounding clinics based on clinical need/hours)
Pay Grade: 11
Salary: $31,190.54- $46,464.26 (based on years of experience)
MINIMUM ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS:
• Licensed as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) with the Iowa Board of Nursing, or eligible for temporary work permit. Responsible to take the required continuing education hours to maintain a valid LPN certification.
• Basic Cardiac Life Support provider.
Special Qualifications
• Driver's License and ability to meet UI Fleet Safety Standards
• Availability to provide support to other clinical locations based on clinical need/hours
HIGHLY DESIRABLE REQUIREMENT
• Minimum one year experience as a Licensed Practical Nurse/LPN
Desirable Requirement
• Previous experience in Occupational Health
• Medical terminology
• Previous phlebotomy experience
• Public contact/customer service experience
• Experience with EPIC
