As a Licensed Practical Nurse, you will play a vital role in assisting the Registered Nurse in executing patient care plans, ensuring the highest standards of care and service. At MLH, we pride ourselves on making a positive difference in the lives of our patients.
A Brief Overview
In this position, you will assist the Registered Nurse in implementing care plans and provide essential technical support for quality patient care, while embodying our mission, vision, and values.
What You Will Do
• Assist in the nursing assessment by gathering, reporting, and documenting patient data.
• Provide direct patient care ensuring safety and comfort.
• Continuously evaluate and adjust care plans as needed.
• Communicate effectively with patients/families and healthcare team members both in writing and verbally.
• Engage in initiatives that enhance healthcare delivery in your area.
Education/Formal Training Requirements
• Technical Degree or Diploma Nursing - LPN.
Work Experience Requirements
• No prior work experience needed.
Licenses and Certifications Requirements
• BASIC LIFE SUPPORT - American Heart Association.
• Licensed Practical Nurse - Arkansas - Arkansas State Board of Nursing.
• Licensed Practical Nurse - Mississippi - Mississippi Board of Nursing.
• Licensed Practical Nurse - Tennessee - Tennessee Board of Nursing.
Supervision Provided by this Position
• This position does not have any supervisory or lead responsibilities.
Physical Demands
• Physical activities may include climbing, pushing, standing, walking, reaching, kneeling, and repeated motions.
• Good balance and coordination are essential.
• Must be able to exert up to 50 lbs. occasionally and 25 lbs. frequently.
• Close visual acuity is required for patient assessments, data analysis, computer work, and extensive reading.
• Regular patient contact will involve both invasive and non-invasive procedures.
• Expect exposure to bodily fluids and hazardous materials.
• Must be able to respond swiftly to emergency situations.
