Job Summary
The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) will provide compassionate professional nursing care for residents of all ages in long-term care settings, under the supervision of a registered nurse, advanced practice provider, or physician. You will demonstrate your nursing knowledge and skills to ensure the health and safety of our residents while adhering to their specific care plans.
Key responsibilities include:
• Contributing to resident assessments and administering prescribed medications and treatments
• Providing essential support to healthcare professionals
• Documenting resident interactions and outcomes related to care
• Building effective relationships with residents, families, and the healthcare team
• Communicating clearly while maintaining confidentiality of sensitive information
• Advising residents and family members on prevention and treatment plans under the direction of supervising healthcare staff
• Implementing resident education programs to promote self-care
• Assisting in emergent situations and performing other related duties as assigned
Qualifications
• Graduation from an accredited practical nursing program as a Licensed Practical Nurse, with an associate degree preferred
• Current unencumbered LPN license from the state nursing board, eligibility for multi-state licensure is a plus
• Completion of a pre-licensure nursing program with supervised clinical experience or a minimum of 400 hours as an LPN
• Willingness to obtain and maintain required competencies and certifications
• Commitment to annual continuing education and competency training
