
Licensed Practical Nurse PART TIME (2ND SHIFT ) in Harbor View, OH
Job Description
What You’ll Do At DBH
• Provide medication, education, and empowerment to individuals
• Observe, evaluate, and record patient behavior, condition, and response to medication.
• Monitor patient health including vital signs, treatment plan progress, and activity participation
• Serve in a fundamental role as a multi-disciplinary team member that creates a safe and positive environment through safety and observation rounds and group facilitation.
This is an hourly position covered by the OCSEA/AFSCME bargaining unit (union), with a pay range of #10 on the OCSEA Pay Range Schedule. Normal working hours are 3:00 pm - 11:30 pm. This position is located within our Northwest Behavioral Healthcare CampusNorthwest Behavioral Healthcare Campus at 930 South Detroit Avenue, Toledo, Ohio 43614930 South Detroit Avenue, Toledo, Ohio 43614.
Unless required by any applicable union contract and/or requirements of the Ohio Revised Code, the selected candidate will begin at Step 1 of the pay range schedule listed above, with an opportunity for pay increase after six months of satisfactory performance and then a yearly raise thereafter.
Position Qualifications
All eligible applications shall be reviewed considering the following criteria: qualifications, experience, education, and active disciplinary record.
License to practice nursing as a licensed practical nurse issued by Ohio Board of Nursing pursuant to Section 4723 Ohio Revised Code & proof of completion of an approved course in medication administration.
Note: Licensed Practical Nurses who administer dialysis treatment must possess Certification in IV Therapy pursuant to Section 4723.17 Ohio Revised Code.
For positions that require operation of motor vehicle to transport consumers to recreational, educational &/or occupational activities, a valid driver’s license is required.
