POSITION SUMMARY The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) provides direct nursing care to medically fragile children in the Prescribed Pediatric Extended Care (PPEC) setting under the supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN). The LPN assists with treatments, medications, and care routines, ensuring patient safety, accurate documentation, and compliance with Florida PPEC regulatory standards. ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES • Provide hands-on pediatric nursing care under RN supervision. • Administer medications, perform treatments, and monitor patient response. • Observe, record, and report changes in patient condition promptly. • Maintain compliance with infection control, emergency response, and safety protocols. • Participate in training, competency assessments, and continuous education. • Support the interdisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
