Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) – Med Surg Bring your passion to Texas Health so we are Better + Together Work location: Texas Health Fort Worth - 1301 Pennsylvania Ave, Fort Worth, TX 76104Work hours: Full Time Days (6:45 AM – 7:15 PM) for 36 hours/week. Weekend and holiday requirements Here’s What You Need· Other Graduate of an accredited vocational nursing program Required· 6 Months in an acute care hospital setting or completion of THR residency program Required· LVN - Licensed Vocational Nurse Upon Hire Required And· BCLS - Basic Cardiac Life Support prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly Required And· ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support 90 Days Required And· CPI - Crisis Prevention Intervention Training maintained annually 90 Days Required And· NIHSS - National Institute of Health Stroke Scale Certification maintained every 2 years 90 Days Required· A high degree of confidentiality, positive interpersonal skills and ability to function in a fast-paced environment. What You Will Do· Collaborates with healthcare team to support hourly rounding, patient education, and risk reduction.· Administers medications safely and performs technical procedures proficiently.· Collects and reports patient data to RN, contributing to individualized care planning.· Demonstrates critical thinking and adheres to national safety standards.· Maintains professional accountability through goal setting, advocacy, and policy compliance.· Partners with peers and support staff to enhance clinical competence and adapt to changing needs.· Engages in continuous improvement by identifying inefficiencies and applying evidence-based practices.
