Job Summary
The Medical-Surgical Registered Nurse (RN) provides comprehensive, patient-centered nursing care to adult patients across a wide range of medical and surgical conditions. The RN is responsible for assessing patient needs, developing and implementing individualized plans of care, administering treatments and medications, and evaluating patient outcomes. This role requires strong clinical judgment, effective communication, and collaboration with the interdisciplinary healthcare team to ensure safe, high-quality patient care.

This is a 106-bed, Joint Commission–accredited healthcare facility serving the Sierra Vista community and surrounding areas. The organization offers a broad range of specialty services, including a Level III Trauma Unit, a Center of Excellence for Total Joint Replacement, a Level I Nursery, and accredited imaging services. Key Responsibilities
• Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and identify nursing care needs
• Develop, implement, and revise individualized nursing care plans
• Provide direct patient care, including administering medications, treatments, and therapies
• Monitor patient conditions and respond appropriately to changes in status
• Evaluate patient outcomes and adjust care plans as needed
• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary care team members
• Educate patients and families regarding diagnoses, treatments, medications, and discharge plans
• Accurately document assessments, interventions, medications, and patient responses
• Adhere to safety, regulatory, and organizational standards
• Advocate for patient safety, quality care, and positive outcomes

• 34-bed Medical-Surgical unit
• Provides care for patients with diverse medical and post-surgical conditions
Qualifications
Education
• Associate’s Degree in Nursing (ADN) – required
• Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Nursing (BSN/MSN) – preferred
Licensure & Certifications
• Active Arizona RN License or Compact State RN License – required
• CPR (BLS) – required
• ACLS – required (must be obtained within 90 days of hire)
Experience
• 1–2 years of Medical-Surgical or acute care nursing experience preferred
• New graduates may be considered based on training and support availability
