Local Contract Nurse RN - Labor and Delivery - $55-60 per hour in Queens, NY

WCS Healthcare Partners is seeking a local contract nurse RN Labor and Delivery for a local contract nursing job in Brooklyn, New York. Job Description & Requirements • Specialty: Labor and Delivery • Discipline: RN • Duration: 13 weeks • 36 hours per week • Shift: 12 hours, nights • Employment Type: Local Contract WCS Healthcare is currently seeking a Labor and Delivery Nurse a for a 13-week, 26-week and long-term temp contract assignments at a Prestigious Hospital in NYC. Job Function: • Night Shift. • 8PM-8:30AM. • Categorizes patients in the appropriate level of classification. • Applies external fetal monitor and interprets fetal heart tracing and uterine activity. • Implements intervention appropriately based on fetal heart rate pattern and maternal status during labor. • Identifies emergency situations, observes age and notifies provider accordingly. • Screens patients for pain during the initial assessment and reassess according to guidelines. • Assists the physicians/midwife during a delivery. Job Requirements: • Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing or Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN). • Current RN license for the state of NY. • 2 years of acute L&D RN experience is required. • BLS & ACLS , NRP certifications from the American Heart Association. • NIHSS certification required. • EPIC experience required.
