Local Contract Nurse RN - School RN - $45-60 per hour in Loganville, GA

Medasource is seeking a local contract nurse RN School RN for a local contract nursing job in Loganville, Georgia. Job Description & Requirements • Specialty: School RN • Discipline: RN • Duration: 20 weeks • 40 hours per week • Shift: 8 hours, days • Employment Type: Local Contract We are looking to staff a 1-on-1 school nurse for a pre-k aged student. Hours would be 7a-4p Please see below for a brief description of the student's needs. • The student is medically fragile and needs continuous nursing oversight during the school day. • The student requires oxygen support all day and uses: • Supplemental oxygen (baseline around 0.5 Liters Per Minute) • A pulse oximeter to monitor oxygen levels (baseline sats are around 75%) • Portable suction for airway/secretions management Respiratory support • Nurse will provide chest physiotherapy (CPT) three times daily as ordered. • Nurse must be comfortable monitoring breathing, oxygen saturation, and responding to changes. Feeding support • Student is fed through a G/J tube: • Continuous feeding through the J-tube (Pediasure Reduced Calorie) • The G-tube is vented using a Farrell bag system • Nurse must be comfortable with feeding pumps, tube care, and basic troubleshooting. Mobility / total care • Student is dependent for all care, including: • Toileting • Positioning • Transfers • Nurse should be comfortable with full-assist care and safe handling. Case complexity • This is considered a basic case (no trach/vent), but it still requires an RN who is confident with cardiac and respiratory monitoring/support and who can manage a medically fragile child safely in a school setting.
