Job Description

We are seeking a qualified Registered Nurse to join our Medical Surgical team for the Night shift. The ideal candidate will be skilled in providing high-quality patient care in a fast-paced environment, specifically in a step-down intermediate care unit with a focus on cardiac and stroke patients.
Responsibilities
• Deliver comprehensive nursing care to adult and geriatric patients with cardiac and neurological conditions.
• Administer medications, including intravenous therapy and ensure compliance with heparin protocols.
• Monitor patient conditions continuously and respond effectively to changes in medical status, including dysrhythmias.
• Manage complex cases involving pre and post cardiac procedures and provide post-operative care.
• Facilitate the use of interdisciplinary support services to enhance patient recovery.
• Educate patients and families regarding health management and post-discharge care.
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure
• Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience, preferably in a medical-surgical or telemetry setting.
• ACLS and BLS certifications are required.
• Proficient in using Epic charting system.
• Preferred skills include IV therapy, phlebotomy, and management of central/peripheral lines.
