Job Description & Requirements • Specialty: Long Term Care • Discipline: RN • Start Date: 01/27/2026 • Duration: 12 weeks • 37 hours per week • Shift: 8 hours • Employment Type: Local Contract Position: SSI - RN LTC Location: Brooklyn, NY Pay Rate: $ 56/hr Schedule: 7Am -3 Pm , 3 Pm-11 Pm , 11 Pm-7Am ​​​​​​​ Duties: -The Registered Professional Nurse utilizes the nursing process in provision of direct patient care. -The RN is responsible and accountable for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating nursing care of residents. -Supervises resident/patient care provided by other members of the nursing team. -Develops and implements the resident care plan and augments the Quality of Life for the residents. -Diagnoses and treats human responses to actual and potential health problems through such services as case finding, health teaching, health counseling, and provision of care, supportive to or restorative of life and well-being. -Acts in accordance with the "Code of Ethics for Nurse! -Participates in determining conditions, resources, and policies essential to the delivery of nursing care services by: -Knowing and adhering to objectives, policies of the facility and Nursing Department related to resident care. -Establishing and maintaining good interpersonal relationships with residents, families/significant others, and visitors in accordance with patient Bill of Rights. -Maintaining effective and proper use of equipment and supplies, including safekeeping of resident's belongings. Requirements: -Knowledge of MDS . -Recent staff nurse experience, preferable in AIDS care. -Graduate of an accredited registered nursing program. -Completion of an orientation on caring for residents with AIDS. -Licensed to practice in New York State. -Registered Professional Nurse. -CPR Certification. -PRI Assessor.
