Clinical Scope
CRNAs must be fully competent to manage cases independently and perform a wide range of regional blocks. This ASC specializes in high-quality outpatient surgical care and does not perform complex hospital-level cases.
Regional Anesthesia Required (Primary Focus):
You must be comfortable performing:
Primary Blocks
• Interscalene (majority of block volume)
• Supraclavicular
• Infraclavicular
• Axillary
Additional Blocks
• Adductor Canal
• POP/Popliteal
• Genicular
• PENG
• Occasional TAP Blocks
Catheters:
• Interscalene catheters
• Adductor canal catheters
Case Types
Ambulatory-only cases including:
• General Surgery
• Hernias
• ENT (ears/sinus)
• Ophthalmology
• Orthopedics
• Colonoscopies
Excluded:
• Urology
• Major inpatient or trauma cases
Note: A neurosurgical/ortho spine surgeon operates one Thursday per month — may already be covered.
Daily Workflow
• Procedures begin at 7:30 AM
• CRNAs must be onsite by 7:00 AM to prepare
• Occasional overtime possible
• Overtime paid at time and a half (after 8 hours/day or 40 hours/week)
