Job Summary The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) plays a critical role in providing professional nursing care for residents of all ages in long-term care settings. Under the supervision of a registered nurse, advanced practice provider, or physician, you will: • Demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of nursing principles tailored to the unique needs of each resident. • Assess residents and administer medications or treatments as prescribed in their care plan. • Document all resident interactions, outcomes related to care, medication administration, behaviors, activities, and dietary requirements. • Build effective relationships with residents, families, healthcare teams, and the community. • Respond promptly and effectively in emergent situations. • Counsel residents and their families on prevention and treatment plans under supervision. • Participate as a vital member of an interdisciplinary care team. Perform other related duties as assigned, ensuring the health, comfort, and safety of all residents. Qualifications To qualify for this position, you must: • Be a graduate from an accredited practical nursing program with a current Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license. • Preferably hold an associate degree in practical nursing. • Have completed a nursing program that includes supervised clinical experience or possess at least 400 hours of experience as an LPN. • Maintain required competencies and certifications, while completing annual continuing education units (CEUs) as mandated by the facility.
