
Long-Term Care Nurse (RN) | Bigfork, Montana in Bigfork, MT
Job Description
A skilled Registered Nurse with expertise in infection prevention is needed to support long-term and short-term care residents at a healthcare facility in Bigfork, MT. This role focuses on building and standardizing an Infection Prevention (IP) program for a skilled nursing and long-term care setting with approximately 94 residents. The ideal candidate holds certification in Long-Term Care Infection Prevention and has 2-3 years of experience, including hands-on knowledge of infection control protocols and regulatory compliance.
Responsibilities include performing quality and chart audits, supporting clinical staff, conducting investigations and outbreak management in collaboration with public health authorities, and helping to train and onboard new infection prevention personnel. You will lead efforts in gap analysis and ensure adherence to infection control practices such as hand hygiene, PPE usage, environmental cleaning, and antimicrobial stewardship.
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
• Current RN license in Montana required; LPN may be considered with certification
• Certification in Long-Term Care Infection Prevention (LTC-CIP) required
• Minimum 2-3 years experience in infection control within rehab or long-term care
• In-depth knowledge of infection prevention standards, transmission-based precautions, and outbreak management
• Proficiency with Meditech, Point Click Care, SharePoint, and Pyxis medication dispensing systems
• Strong data surveillance and regulatory compliance skills

Schedule & Contract Details:
