This contract opportunity is ideal for registered nurses skilled in inpatient rehabilitation and long-term care nursing. The role is based in Exeter, NH, serving patients requiring specialized rehab care in an inpatient setting. Nurses with a strong background in medical-surgical nursing and IV therapy will thrive in this fast-paced environment. Additional experience in wound care, stroke recovery, and traumatic brain injury (TBI) rehabilitation is highly valued.

Work is performed on a 19-bed inpatient rehab unit with a typical patient-to-staff ratio of 6:1, ensuring focused and comprehensive patient care. Essential equipment includes mechanical lifts, Sara steady devices, and infusion pumps such as Baxter and Kangaroo. Nurses document and coordinate care utilizing the Meditech electronic medical record system.

Qualifications and Desired Experience:
• Current RN license with expertise in rehab and med-surg nursing
• IV therapy experience required
• Preferred skills: wound care, stroke, traumatic brain injury
• BLS certification mandatory
• Flexible, kind, and thorough with a professional attitude

Schedule and Unit Details:
• Day and night shifts available; typical day shift includes 1 charge nurse, 3 RNs, 2 CNAs, and 13 sitters
• Weekend coverage required every other weekend
• Dress code: plain-colored scrubs

Responsibilities:
• Deliver direct nursing care to rehab patients, including assessment, medication administration, and patient education
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to develop and implement patient care plans
• Manage medical equipment safely and efficiently
• Accurately document patient progress in Meditech EMR
• Adhere to unit policies and maintain a professional, courteous demeanor
