A nursing opportunity is available to provide compassionate care in a specialized healthcare setting, focusing on rehabilitation and long-term care. This role requires delivering both direct and indirect nursing care to residents recovering from various medical conditions or requiring ongoing support. The position involves working closely with a multidisciplinary team to create a therapeutic environment tailored to the unique needs of each resident, including patients with Alzheimer's, dementia, or other chronic conditions. Key responsibilities include administering IV therapy, managing wound care, conducting geriatric assessments, and supporting residents through their recovery or long-term care journey. Flexibility to cover shifts around the clock and to float between units as needed is essential. Qualifications and Desired Experience : • Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required • Valid State of Maine or compact RN license mandatory • 1-3 years of previous RN experience preferred, particularly in rehab or long-term care settings • Familiarity with medical terminology preferred • Strong teamwork and communication skills necessary • Ability to work effectively within a collaborative care team • Flexibility to work varied shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays, and float to different units Location Overview : Situated in Lewiston, Maine, this region offers a charming blend of small-city living with access to outdoor recreational activities, cultural attractions, and a tight-knit community atmosphere.
