A registered nurse with specialized experience in inpatient rehabilitation is sought for a 12-hour shift schedule at a dedicated rehab hospital in Madison, WI. Key Qualifications and Experience: • Minimum 2 years of experience in Med Surg or Inpatient Rehabilitation Facility (IRF) nursing; skilled nursing experience alone is not accepted. • At least 13 weeks of experience with EPIC electronic health records. • Proven background in acute inpatient rehabilitation or acute rehab hospital settings. • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification. • Ability to manage complex patient care including insulin protocols, feeding tube care, Foley catheters, PICC lines, and oxygen delivery. • Skilled in caring for patients with diagnoses such as stroke, brain and spinal cord injuries, joint replacements, and neurological conditions like Parkinson’s disease. Role Responsibilities: • Provide direct nursing care to patients with diverse rehabilitation needs. • Implement treatment plans designed to enhance patient function and facilitate return to home. • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive care. • Monitor and manage patient vitals and respond to acute changes. • Utilize EPIC for accurate and timely documentation.
