Long-Term Care Nurse (RN) | Moorefield, West Virginia in Moorefield, WV

An opportunity is available for a Registered Nurse with experience in long-term care, specializing in rehabilitation and elderly care. This contract role requires a minimum of two years experience in a long-term care setting, ideally with familiarity in dementia patient care. Candidates should be proficient with Point Click Care (PCC) electronic medical records and hold current BLS certification (AHA only), along with a valid West Virginia State or Compact nursing license and WV Cares certification. Location: Positioned in Moorefield, WV, this role supports patient care at an extended care unit specializing in elderly and dementia care. The facility features a 30-bed unit, with patient ratios of 1:15 during the day and 1:30 at night, and utilizes advanced mobility equipment such as Maxi Move and Sara Steady to assist patient handling. Responsibilities: • Provide comprehensive nursing care primarily to elderly and dementia patients. • Manage patient care documentation using PCC. • Rotate shifts as necessary, covering day (6:45 am - 7:15 pm) and night hours (6:45 pm - 7:15 am). • Adhere to dress code policies and maintain professional appearance. • Collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure high-quality patient outcomes. • Work every other weekend and during holidays as scheduled. Qualifications: • Registered Nurse with a current WV State or Compact License. • Minimum 2 years of long-term care nursing experience focused on elderly and dementia populations. • BLS certification (AHA only). • Experience using PCC EMR (Point Click Care). • Ability to work flexible shifts and rotate as needed. Assignment Details: • Contract duration of 13 weeks. • Guaranteed 36 hours per week. • No on-call requirements.
