Long-Term Care Nurse (RN) - Verona, Wisconsin in Verona, WI

A rewarding opportunity is available for a Registered Nurse with acute inpatient rehabilitation experience. This role is situated within a specialized 49-bed rehabilitation hospital dedicated to providing comprehensive care for patients recovering from stroke, brain and spinal cord injuries, amputations, complex orthopedic injuries, and other conditions requiring inpatient rehabilitative services. Key Responsibilities: • Deliver high-quality nursing care to patients with diverse rehabilitation needs. • Manage and monitor patients with conditions such as hypertension, blood glucose irregularities, post-surgical care, neurological disorders, and complex wounds. • Administer medications, including insulin protocols, and perform procedures such as starting IVs and caring for PICC lines and catheters. • Utilize EPIC electronic health records efficiently for documentation and coordination of care. • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to maximize patient recovery and quality of life. • Adhere to infection control and isolation precautions when required. • Maintain appropriate attire with scrubs and comfortable footwear. Qualifications and Experience: • Minimum of 2 years of experience in Medical-Surgical or Inpatient Rehabilitation Facility (IRF) nursing. • At least 1 year of travel nursing experience. • Must have a minimum of 13 weeks of EPIC EHR experience. • Current BLS certification. • Demonstrated competence in handling complex rehab patient populations. • Skilled in managing advanced nursing care including feeding tube care, swallowing precautions, oxygen delivery, and wound management.
