Location: Avera Mary House Worker Type: Regular Work Shift: Night Shift (United States of America) Pay Range: The pay range for this position is listed below. A Brief Overview As a Long Term Care Registered Nurse, you will deliver comprehensive nursing care by developing nursing diagnoses, establishing care objectives, and providing essential support to residents and their families in understanding their conditions and self-care skills. What you will do: • Provide tailored resident care by reviewing physician prescriptions and effectively communicating the nursing care plan with the healthcare team. • Develop nursing care plans through gathering medical histories, examining residents, and collaborating with families to establish clear nursing objectives. • Educate residents and families about healthcare needs and self-care skills, while addressing questions and providing relevant information. • Evaluate care outcomes by monitoring health results and adjusting care plans as necessary. • Maintain a safe care environment by adhering to infection control and medication administration protocols. • Ensure operational efficiency of resident care equipment through routine checks and maintenance. • Coordinate admissions, discharges, and transfers with diligence. • Supervise and coordinate the workflow of nursing assistants and other nursing personnel. • Commit to professional development in nursing skills as outlined by leadership. Essential Qualifications The ability to work the specified hours and perform each essential job function satisfactorily is crucial. Required Education, License/Certification, or Work Experience: • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice upon hire. Preferred Education, License/Certification, or Work Experience: • 1-3 years' experience in a clinical or long-term care setting.
