
LPN Dispensing Nurse in Camden, NJ
Job Description
We are seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our Methadone Clinic team in Philadelphia, PA. This posting is for full-time, first shift, Monday - Friday 7:00am - 3:30pm.
Earn $31.98/hr.!
The LPN will administer medication and therapeutic treatments per the physician's orders. Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following.
Administer/dispense methadone per State and Federal Guidelines
Ensure adequate recording of the administration/dispensing transaction
Ensure that the treatment plan of the physician and/or medical director is being followed
Assess client response to treatment and medication dosage/interactions
Maintain all medical records including but not limited to individual charts, daily medication charts, dosage records, progress notes, Doctor’s orders, etc., as required
Monitor tuberculosis, HIV, and Hep C testing for all patients and assigned units, including making outside referrals when necessary
Provides emergency care as needed (CPR, PMAB, Emergency Medications) prevention and management of aggressive behavior

The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications:
Graduate from an accredited practical/vocational nursing program
Current license as an LPN or RN in the Commonwealth of PA
1 year of nursing experience is required
Experience with chemically dependent population preferred
Minimum one (1) year experience with dispensing narcotic medication, preferably in substance abuse treatment including treatment of opioid dependence
Current CPR certification
