This is a 2nd shift position working from 2:30pm - 11:00pm. Working at Least Every Other Weekend Shift Differentials and Weekend/Holiday Supplements Available. LPNs assist in providing nursing care to individuals served by: • Using the Nursing Process to implement and evaluate nursing care delivery as reflected on the Nursing Care Plan part of the individual’s Interdisciplinary Treatment Plan • Creating healthy interpersonal interactions with individuals on adult acute admission units, geriatric unit, and extended rehabilitation service unit • Maintaining accountability in a safe, secure, and therapeutic environment for individuals • Administering medications, providing treatments, assisting with activities and education, and other direct care services • Documenting in the Electronic Health Record regarding observations, communications, education, interventions, treatments, responses, and behaviors • Under supervision of RN, overseeing care given by the Psychiatric Care Technicians Minimum Qualifications • Must be a Licensed Practical Nurse in the state of Virginia prior to beginning role. Additional Considerations • Experience working in a psychiatric, healthcare facility, acute care, long-term care or correctional setting is preferred.
