Skilled Home Health Registered Nurse Location Florida Assignment Duration This is a 13-week contract position. Schedule Day shift, Monday through Friday, with variations based on office needs including scheduled hours from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM or 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM. Alternating weekend shifts may be required. Job Description The Skilled Home Health Registered Nurse (RN) will be responsible for providing skilled nursing care in home health settings to patients with various medical conditions. You will perform tasks such as assessments, wound care, IV therapy, and patient education, ensuring compliance with related healthcare regulations. Responsibilities • Conduct cardiopulmonary assessments and basic wound care. • Manage and perform dressing changes for various types of drains and vacuum-assisted closures. • Provide education and management for patients with high-risk diagnoses, including heart failure, COPD, and post-operative care. • Perform laboratory duties such as venipuncture and use of glucometer and pro-time machines. • Administer medications via SQ, IM, and various IV methods including PICC line maintenance. • Complete necessary documentation using BayCare scheduling and documentation systems. Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure • Minimum of 1 year of skilled home care experience is required, with recent patient care experience within the last 3 months. • OASIS training and experience are mandatory. • Current FL nursing license or compact license is required. • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required. • Must possess a valid driver’s license and personal vehicle for home visits. • COVID-19 vaccination or approved exemption form is required. • Flu shot or declination required, with mandatory mask usage while on duty.
