Responsibilities
• Adheres to the LPN scope of practice by contributing to the assessment of the health status of individuals, families and communities.
• Deliver direct patient care, including administering treatments as prescribed, assisting nurses and physicians with various procedures and documenting individual patient needs, actions taken and patient responses.
• Administer prescribed medications, including medications given through established parenteral/intravenous infusions as prescribed by physician or standard protocols and document according to policy.
• Document and report patient condition, care delivery and post procedure follow up. Assess changes in patient s condition and report to nurse and physician as needed.
• Incorporates nursing activities that create a compassionate, supportive and therapeutic environment for patients and staff with the aim of promoting comfort and healing
• Applies Exceptional Patient Experience principles and incorporates into care interactions
• Other duties assigned
Qualifications
• Minimum New graduate or experienced nurse from an accredited practical nursing program
• Licensed Practical Nurse NM
• High School Diploma or GED
• BLS
