**Overview:** The Care Coordination Division at the University of Iowa Health Care is seeking a Manager - RN Case Management/Navigators to provide managerial and clinical leadership to nurse navigators, ensuring excellent patient care and achieving performance objectives. **Responsibilities:** • Provides managerial and clinical leadership to nurse navigators to assure that all staff provide safe clinical care and have the education, methods, and resources to accomplish their performance objectives. * Hires, trains, and develops staff to meet patient care needs. * Manages the talents, strengths, and behaviors of each individual in work groups and provides each employee with the opportunity to contribute to the goals of the unit. * Develops and implements succession planning. * Assures performance expectations are clearly understood and holds staff accountable to meet or exceed patient needs/expectations. **Qualifications:** • Master's Degree in Nursing is required. If Master's Degree is in a related field, Baccalaureate in Nursing is required. * Must obtain an advanced degree in nursing, health care administration, or business administration within five (5) years of beginning this position. * Current license to practice nursing in Iowa. * Considerable (3-5 years) experience in leadership/management roles. * Demonstrated skill in leadership/management and experience in clinical practice required. * Excellent written and verbal communication skills are required. * Must be proficient in computer software applications. * Certification in a role or specialty through a nationally recognized professional nursing certification body.
