Job specification Candidate requirements Job specification • Lead and manage the nursing staff within Surgical Services, including recruitment, training, scheduling, and performance evaluation. • Oversee patient care activities, ensuring compassionate, patient-centered, and high-quality care within surgical services. • Manage the day-to-day operations of the Surgical Services department, including resource allocation, equipment maintenance, and inventory management. • Ensure compliance with hospital policies, regulatory requirements, and accreditation standards relevant to surgical services. • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care and optimize surgical service outcomes. Candidate requirements • A Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) is required; a Master's degree in Nursing (MSN) or a related field is preferred. • Minimum of 5 years of clinical nursing experience in surgical services, with at least 3 years in a supervisory or leadership role. • Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications are required. • Certification in Surgical Services Nursing (CNOR) is preferred.
