Maryland 1:1 RN for Pre-K Student in Newark, MD

A full-time, school-based 1:1 Registered Nurse is needed to provide dedicated medical support for a Pre-K student with complex healthcare needs. The RN will ensure the student’s safety and well-being throughout the school day, including transportation to and from school, while working under the supervision of the school nurse.

Assignment Dates:
• ASAP – June 11, 2026

Schedule:
• Full-time, 37.5 hours per week
• Monday–Friday, 6:50 AM – 3:30 PM
• Includes bus riding to and from school with the student

Student & Clinical Responsibilities:
• Provide one-on-one nursing care for a Pre-K student during the school day
• Monitor and manage an open stoma following tracheostomy removal
• Administer PRN oxygen as needed
• Perform and monitor tube feedings throughout the day
• Observe and assess the student’s health status and respond to changes appropriately
• Maintain accurate and timely care logs, including documentation of tube feedings, medications, and nursing interventions
• Collaborate closely with the school nurse and educational staff to support the student’s daily routine and access to learning

Requirements:
• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Maryland or active Compact RN license valid in Maryland
• Experience with pediatric or school-based nursing preferred
• Comfort with medically fragile children, including airway management and tube feeding
• Strong documentation, communication, and teamwork skills

Work Setting:
• Onsite, school-based
• One-on-one assignment with a single student
