Job Description
Provide skilled nursing care as a Registered Nurse in a medical-surgical setting during night shifts. This contract opportunity is ideal for experienced RNs seeking a focused and rewarding role in a supportive healthcare environment. The position requires proven ability to manage patient care effectively while maintaining a patient ratio of 6 to 1.
Key Responsibilities:
• Deliver direct nursing care to medical-surgical patients, adhering to best practices and safety protocols.
• Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement patient care plans.
• Monitor patient status, document care accurately, and respond swiftly to changes.
• Utilize Cerner electronic medical record systems to document and retrieve patient information (preferred).
Qualifications and Experience:
• Current COMPACT or Alabama Registered Nurse (RN) license.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Minimum of 1 year of nursing experience in a clinical setting.
• Cerner EMR experience preferred but not required.
• Ability to work night shifts with flexibility, including every other weekend.
Schedule and Hours:
• Night Shift: 6:45 PM to 7:15 AM
• Every other weekend required
