A skilled Registered Nurse with med/surg experience is needed for a 13-week contract position working night shifts in Edgewater, MD. This role requires a commitment to delivering exceptional patient care on a medical-surgical unit with a supportive team environment. Responsibilities: • Provide high-quality nursing care during 12-hour night shifts (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM), three times per week • Manage a patient ratio of approximately 1:5-6, ensuring safe and effective care delivery • Float occasionally within the specialty and to a sister facility, primarily on rare occasions • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care plans • Adhere to required weekend and holiday schedules as assigned • Maintain professional standards including wearing site-specific royal blue scrubs Qualifications and Experience: • Valid Maryland RN license • Minimum of one year medical-surgical nursing experience • Active BLS certification; CPI certification preferred • Prior travel nursing experience is welcome but not required Schedule: • Night shifts, 12-hour duration (7:00 PM to 7:30 AM) • Work three shifts per week with every other weekend coverage; typically 4 weekends in a 4-week schedule cycle • Holiday shifts required as scheduled • No on-call responsibilities Location Overview: Edgewater, MD, offers a blend of suburban charm and convenient access to metropolitan amenities.
