An opportunity is available for a Registered Nurse with Med-Surg experience at a 34-bed hospital located in Newport, TN. This contract position involves providing high-quality patient care while working with a tele-monitoring system in a fast-paced environment. Qualifications / Desired Experience: • Current Tennessee RN license required • Minimum of 2 years Med-Surg nursing experience • Certification in BLS and ACLS • Experience with telemetry patients • Ability to work with an EMR system, preferably Cerner Schedule / Hours: • Day shift: 6:45 AM 7:15 PM • Float assignments required with flexibility • Request time off policies apply, with days made up at contract end • Block schedules possible upon discussion Responsibilities: • Provide nursing care to patients with varying acuity levels, keeping a patient ratio of approximately 1:6 to 1:7 • Monitor telemetric data and intervene when appropriate • Communicate effectively with interdisciplinary teams to promote optimal patient outcomes • Maintain compliance with hospital policies and safety standards Work Environment: The role requires wearing royal blue scrubs and operating within a Cerner EMR system.
