Med-Surg Nurse (RN) - Morgantown, WV in Booth, WV

An opportunity is available for a Registered Nurse with Med-Surg and Telemetry experience to join a hospital in Morgantown, West Virginia. This contract assignment is set for approximately eight weeks and requires flexibility to float across multiple Telemetry units, with occasional critical care assignments depending on experience. Key Responsibilities: • Provide care for Telemetry patients primarily with CHF, cardiac cath procedures, chest pain, pneumonia, chronic renal disease, COPD, orthopedic, and oncology diagnoses. • Float among seven Telemetry units, with the most frequent assignments on units 6N and 7N. • Collaborate with oncology nursing staff who administer chemotherapy treatments. • Maintain nurse-to-patient ratios of 1:5-6 on MedSurg/Telemetry units and 1:4 on Progressive Care Units. • Use electronic systems (Kronos) for timekeeping. Qualifications and Experience: • Active RN license. • Experience in Med-Surg and Telemetry nursing. • Critical Care experience is preferred for those who may float to critical care units. • Ability to work weekends every other weekend. • Willingness to work 36 to 48 hours per week.
