Job Description
Deliver exceptional care as a Registered Nurse specializing in Medical-Surgical and Telemetry units at a respected hospital in Saint Louis, MO. This night shift role provides an opportunity to apply your clinical expertise in a 60-bed medical unit equipped with advanced technology such as bladder scanners, vein finders, IV pumps, and wound vacs, utilizing EPIC EMR systems for patient management. This 13-week contract position offers flexible guaranteed hours of either 36 or 48 per week, with weekend shifts every other weekend as required.
Key Responsibilities:
• Perform comprehensive patient assessments, care planning, implementation, and evaluation for medical patients.
• Coordinate care with multidisciplinary teams and ancillary departments to optimize patient outcomes.
• Maintain patient confidentiality and uphold professional accountability standards.
• Adhere to nursing practice guidelines under the Missouri Nurse Practice Act and institutional standards.
• Assist with floating to similar or lower acuity units as needed.
• Participate in night shift orientation during day shifts before assignment starts.
Qualifications & Experience:
• Current, valid RN license eligible for Missouri or licensed in Missouri.
• Minimum of 1 year inpatient Medical-Surgical nursing experience.
• BLS certification by the American Heart Association required.
• ACLS certification preferred.
• Ability to manage patient ratios of 1:5 or 1:6.
• Dependable, flexible, and teamwork-oriented mindset.
• Compliance with dress code (black scrubs).
