A registered nurse with medical-surgical experience is needed to support patient care within a dynamic healthcare environment in Urbandale, IA. This contract role offers the opportunity to contribute to orthopedic and total joint replacement patient populations while working across multiple campuses in a collaborative setting. Responsibilities: • Provide skilled nursing care to medical-surgical patients including those undergoing orthopedic procedures and total joint replacements • Administer specific cardiac medications and manage drips as required by patient condition • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure coordinated and effective patient care • Float between campuses including Iowa Methodist Medical Center, Iowa Lutheran, and Iowa Methodist to support varied patient care needs • Adhere to hospital protocols and maintain compliance with established standards of care Qualifications: • Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Iowa • Experience in medical-surgical nursing preferred • Ability to manage cardiac medication drips safely • Strong communication and teamwork skills to work across multiple campuses • Familiarity with EPIC electronic medical records system is a plus Location: Urbandale, IA is a growing suburban area known for its excellent community amenities, parks, and quality healthcare facilities.
