A Brief Overview
As a Med-Surg Registered Nurse, you will provide essential nursing care by developing care plans, establishing objectives, and delivering support to patients and their families. Your role will involve closely monitoring patient conditions, medications, and self-care skills to ensure optimal health outcomes.
What You Will Do:
• Deliver high-quality patient care by reviewing physician prescriptions and effectively communicating the nursing care plan to the healthcare team.
• Develop tailored nursing care plans by gathering patient medical histories and documenting physical and psychological conditions.
• Educate patients and their families about healthcare needs, self-care skills, and treatments, ensuring they feel empowered and informed.
• Assess and evaluate patient care by adhering to therapeutic standards and modifying care plans as necessary based on changing conditions.
• Maintain a safe and healthy patient environment by following infection control policies and legal regulations.
• Document all patient care services accurately in the patient and department records.
• Ensure all patient care equipment is operational and well-maintained, troubleshooting as needed.
• Manage stock levels of patient care supplies to ensure readiness and efficiency.
• Continually maintain and enhance nursing competencies as per leadership guidance.
Essential Qualifications:

Required Education and Certifications:
• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license from the state Board of Nursing required upon hire.

• 1-3 years of experience in a clinical environment.
