This contract position offers a night shift schedule focused primarily on adult patients, with occasional pediatric cases. Collaborate with an experienced team dedicated to comprehensive patient care that spans medical, surgical, outpatient, observation, swing bed, and pediatric services.

Qualifications & Desired Experience:
• Minimum of 3 years acute care nursing experience
• Current Vermont RN or multi-state RN licensure
• BLS (American Heart Association) certification required
• ACLS certification required
• Familiarity with Meditech is preferred, but not mandatory
Responsibilities:
• Deliver holistic nursing care tailored to adult and pediatric patients’ age, physiological, psychosocial, and developmental needs
• Coordinate patient care using the Nursing Process to make informed clinical decisions
• Collaborate with Unit Director, Clinical Nurse Lead, and Nursing Supervisor for seamless patient management
• Maintain professional standards and comply with all healthcare regulations, including mandatory flu vaccination
Additional Details:
• Start days are Wednesdays
• Orientation week guarantees 36 hours for travelers on a 48-hour contract due to midweek start
• This is a contract role with a dynamic general Med/Surg team
• Not a pediatrics-exclusive floor; occasional pediatric patients may be present
• Timely credentialing and submission of required documents (five business days prior) is essential
