Key Responsibilities: • Conduct comprehensive nutrition assessments and reassessments, setting goals and interventions while monitoring patient progress. • Develop and manage enteral and parenteral nutrition support in collaboration with pharmacy and medical staff. • Work closely with Speech Therapy to coordinate diet progression and transitional feeding. • Ensure nutrition orders are consistent with facility formularies and dietary manuals. • Consider cultural, religious, and ethnic factors when creating nutrition care plans. • Identify and manage food-drug and supplement interactions; provide appropriate nutrition counseling and education. • Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings, communicating nutrition care plans and recommendations. • Contribute to facility Performance Improvement Programs with data collection and analysis. • Assist food service staff to implement patient care plans and advise on special dietary preparations. • Review and approve menus and therapeutic diet manuals; conduct meal rounds and tray audits. • Maintain professional development and stay current with nutritional best practices. • Act as a liaison between patients, medical staff, and food services. • Perform additional duties as assigned. Qualifications and Desired Experience: • Registered Nurse with a Master of Science (RN-MS) degree. • Strong knowledge of nutrition support and critical care rehabilitation. • Excellent communication and teamwork skills. • Commitment to safety protocols and regulatory compliance. • Experience in interdisciplinary collaboration and patient education.
