Job Description
Providing compassionate, skilled nursing care in a dynamic hospital setting, this contract role offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on patient outcomes. The position is based in Beloit, WI, and requires flexibility to float to various units as needed. Night shifts from 6:30 PM to 7:00 AM are scheduled, including every other weekend and holiday coverage, which promotes continuity of care during critical hours.
Key Responsibilities:
• Deliver patient-centered nursing care by applying the nursing process and collaborating with interdisciplinary teams.
• Administer medications and treatments safely, adhering to approved protocols, nursing standards, and state regulations.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation consistent with standards of care.
• Develop and implement individualized patient care plans, including education for patients and families.
• Participate actively in unit-based performance improvement activities and shared governance initiatives.
• Provide clinical expertise and guidance to support patient care across multiple units.
• Apply critical thinking to enhance patient safety and experience, escalating concerns appropriately.
Qualifications and Experience:
• Valid Wisconsin Registered Nurse (RN) license.
• Current CPR and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Flu vaccination required.
• Prior nursing experience in hospital settings preferred.
• Ability to adapt to floating assignments and work 12-hour night shifts every other weekend and holidays.
